The relationship between psychiatric symtoms and childhood trauma

Introduction Recent evidences suggest that situations of abandonment, neglect and abuse are risks factores for onset psychopatology in adulthood. This association occus traumatic events the early stages development may trigger severe disabling psychiatric disorders adults. Objectives The presente study aimed to evaluate associations between occurence severity chidhood trauma hospitalized teenagers Hospital Psychiatric Vida Londrina/Pr. Methods sample was consisted 14 patients, evaluated symtoms by Back Scale Suicid Ideation (BSI); Beck Depression Inventory (BDI); Anxiety (BAI); Hopelessness (HAD) Barratt Impulsiveness (BIS-11). Results In studie, 84% teenegers reports they had some type childhood trauma. results indicate traumas associated mainly with mood also increasin symptoms, specially depressive hopelessness, suicidal ideation impulsivity. Teenagers emocional neglect, physical demonstrated having five times more risk personality disorder. Individuals who suffered abuse; sexual presentes at three commiting suicid attemps.
